High school roundup: Indian River offense rolls to 10th girls soccer win of season against IHC
Oct. 3—PHILADELPHIA — Mackenzie Adams produced a pair of goals and an assist as Indian River rolled to a 6-1 victory over Immaculate Heart Central in a Frontier League "A" Division girls soccer game Monday.
Eleven players registered at least an assist for Indian River (10-2-2 overall, 8-2-1). Macey Catlin added a goal and an assist and Emily Horton, Maia Hunter and Meghan Jones each scored. Maleri Streiff made three saves in goal.
Kailey Montgomery scored for IHC (3-7-1, 1-6-1) on an assist from Gabriella Burroughs.
LOWVILLE 4, SOUTH JEFFERSON 0
Taci Smith scored a pair of goals and Brooke Houppert added a pair of assists as unbeaten Lowville topped South Jefferson in a "B" Division game in Lowville.
Tai Nortz and Lily Gillette also scored for Lowville (11-0, 10-0). Jenna Weiler added an assist.
GENERAL BROWN 3, CARTHAGE 1
Natalynn Schmitte evened the score with a goal less than five minutes into the second half, sparking General Brown to the crossover win against Carthage in Dexter.
McKenna Lee followed with the go-ahead goal for the Lions (7-5-2, 5-5-2) and Casey Lytle also scored. Geona Wood made two saves in goal.
Gabrielle Downey gave Carthage a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
COPENHAGEN 6, LAFARGEVILLE 1
Samantha Stokely scored three times as first-place Copenhagen cruised past second-place LaFargeville in a "D" Division game in Copenhagen.
Brielle TenEyck, Mollie Babcock and Madison Cheek also scored for the Golden Knights (10-1-1, 10-0-1), who registered five goals in the first half.
Mackenzie Howard needed to make just one save in goal against the Red Knights (7-3).
SACKETS HARBOR 3, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 0
Peyton Britton scored a goal and assisted on another as Sackets Harbor shut out Belleville Henderson in a "D" Division game in Sackets Harbor.
Paige Britton and Maive Phillips-Lennox also scored for the Patriots (7-6, 6-5), who moved into a third-place tie with the Panthers (6-5) in the division. Olivia Derouin added an assist.
Lily Green stopped eight shots in goal.
LYME 1, ALEXANDRIA 0
Jillian Alberry's goal on a penalty kick in the second half lifted Lyme to the "D" Division victory against Alexandria in Chaumont.
Kennady Scott made 13 saves for the Lakers (4-8, 4-6), who outshot the Purple Ghosts 22-13.
SOUTH LEWIS 4, THOUSAND ISLANDS 1
Aleigha Hill supplied two goals in South Lewis' "C" Division win over Thousand Islands in Turin.
Annabelle Wilcox and Rachel Dolan also scored for the Falcons (4-7-1, 4-6-1). GracieLynn Black made one save in goal.
BEAVER RIVER 6, HARRISVILLE 0
Adalynn Olmstead scored twice and Kennedy Becker assisted on three goals as Beaver River charged through Harrisville for a nonleague win in Beaver Falls.
Jonise Zehr, Natalie Hughes, Jasmine Martin and Reese Lehman all scored for unbeaten Beaver River (11-0-1). Addison Nortz and Loryn Schack contributed assists. Ella St. Croix made two saves.
CANTON 6, HEUVELTON 4
Sara Aldous scored a pair of goals late in the second half to help clinch a back-and-forth battle with Heuvelton in a nonleague game in Heuvelton.
Stella Shipman and Emily Estabrooks also each scored two goals for Canton, which led 3-1 at one point, then rallied from a 4-3 deficit.
Katie Cunningham supplied two goals and an assist for the Bulldogs, and Cassidy Pray and Kilee McCluskey also scored.
HAMMOND 4, SANDY CREEK 1
Landree Kenyon connected for two goals and Ava Howie and Isabelle Woodcock contributed a goal and an assist each in the Red Devils' victory over the Comets in Hammond.
Kayla Vaugh made 12 saves in goal for Hammond.

COLTON-PIERREPONT 2, CHATEAUGAY 1 (OT)
Eric Fiedel's goal off an assist from Joey Fisher lifted Colton-Pierrepont to the overtime victory over Chateaugay in an NAC East Division game in Chateaugay.
Tyler Lovely also scored for the Colts. Peter Reynolds evened the score for Chateaugay on a penalty kick with seven minutes left in regulation.
In other NAC games, Madrid-Waddington beat St. Regis Falls 2-1 and Malone defeated Norwood-Norfolk 2-1.
WATERTOWN 3, AUBURN 0
Seth Charlton scored in the third minute and assisted on a second-half goal as Watertown gained a nonleague victory at Auburn.
Kyle Daly assisted on a pair of goals. Michael Lumbis and Jack Rathbun each scored for the Cyclones (7-3-2).
Devin Connell made three saves against Auburn (1-9-2).

Mia Mouaikel and Annalise Hobbs each won their singles matches as South Jefferson captured a Section 3 Class B quarterfinal in Camden.
The Spartans (12-1) also gained an uncontested win at first doubles to advance in the tournament.
WESTHILL 4, CARTHAGE 1
Julia Fiegel survived Chloe Feathers in three sets at first singles as Westhill claimed the Class B quarterfinal in Syracuse.
Westhill also went three sets at first doubles before gaining the win. Anna Rivera won at third singles for Carthage (7-4).
SKANEATELES 3, LOWVILLE 2
Skaneateles outlasted previously unbeaten Lowville in a Section 3 Class C quarterfinal in Lowville.
The Red Raiders (11-1) gained wins from Anna Dening at third singles and Katelynn Baker and Alyvia Millard at first doubles.
CAZENOVIA 4, COPENHAGEN 1
Rhianna Kriner recorded Copenhagen's victory at first singles in Cazenovia's Class C quarterfinal win in Cazenovia.
Leah Bell and Madden Cobb won singles for the Lakers, who also swept the doubles against the Golden Knights (6-5).

Lauren Park served for 19 points and Kaniehtentha Thompson posted eight kills as Massena swept Potsdam 25-16, 25-18, 25-21 in a Northern Athletic Conference match in Potsdam.
Makenna Cameron added nine service points and Katelyn Benham distributed 12 assists for the Red Raiders.

Malone held on to defeat Ogdensburg Free Academy 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12 in an NAC match in Ogdensburg.
In other NAC matches, Chateaugay beat Madrid-Waddington 3-1, Salmon River topped Gouverneur 3-1 and Canton blanked Tupper Lake 3-0.
