HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Bourne baseball belts three home runs in win
The Bourne High baseball team brought the lumber to the ballpark in its 10-0 six-inning victory over Case on Friday.
The Canalmen hit three home runs on the night, including two from Aiden Elmore. Joining him in the home run party was Luca Finton, who finished with three hits on the night.
Griffen Kelly and Tobin Johnston combined to drive in five runs from the bottom of the Canalmen order. On the mound, Ryan Sullivan went all six innings, pitching a shutout.

Nantucket 8, Rising Tide 3: Nantucket (1-6) gets its first win of the season.

Barnstable 4, Martha’s Vineyard 1: The Red Hawks are 9-3 after the win over the Vineyarders (5-7).
Falmouth 4, Dennis-Yarmouth 3: Connor Hennigan had a pair of hits, a run, and an RBI, to help the Clippers (5-5). Michael Matta went 3⅓ scoreless innings in refief, striking out seven. Trey McPherson threw six innings and only allowed two earned runs, and also tripled and scored a run for the Dolphins (5-8).
Upper Cape 12, Old Colony 5: Tyler Kutil struck out six hitters over six innings of work to lead the Rams (9-3). He also paced the offense with three hits, including a home run, and three RBIs. Jacob Allen, Joe Urneck and Nolan Roche all contributed offensively.
Softball
Nantucket 8, Rising Tide 2: Olivia Scott struck out 18 to propel the Whalers (3-7) to the win.
Dennis-Yarmouth 9, Falmouth 7: The Dolphins (5-6) rallied late to get their third win in a row over the Clippers (4-6). Savannah Azoff drove in the winning runs in the Dolphins half of the sixth inning, with a two-RBI single. Azoff also claimed the win in the circle for the Dolphins. Rebecca Linn led the Dolphins in hits on the day, going 3-for-4. Delia Raulston had three hits, two RBIs and two runs to lead the Clippers, while Anna Velesig, Madison Cormier, and Christina Femino each had a pair of hits.

Monomoy 19, Barnstable 2: The Sharks (6-6) won their second game in a row. Barnstable falls to 5-6.
Case 27, Bourne 0: The Canalwomen fall to 6-5.
Nauset 8, Sandwich 7: The Warriors (10-2) bounced back after a loss to beat the Blue Knights (4-7) in comeback fashion. Grace Harris had a three-run home run and scored four times to lead the Warriors offensively, and also hosed a would-be base stealer in the top of the seventh. Lili Hay added two RBIs and Lila Alger had an RBI triple. Kaylee Davis recorder her 10th win of the season for Nauset.
Sturgis 8, Bristol Plymouth 4: Shannon Keating went 3-for-4, including a two-run home run, and scored three times for Sturgis (9-1). Bella Bruno also collected two hits and two RBIs, which came on a tying single in the fifth inning. Sophio Bruno started in the circle and went the distance with seven strikeouts.
Boys Tennis
Monomoy 4, Rising Tide 1: The Sharks improved to 8-4 on the season behind two wins in singles matchups, and a doubles sweep. Ryan Casey (6-0, 6-0 at first singles), and Gavin McDonnell (6-3, 6-1 at second singles) claimed victory for Monomoy, and Connor Francis/Ethan Seufert (6-0, 6-2 at first doubles), and Liam Jordan/Blake Noonan (6-4, 6-2 at second doubles) secured the win for the Sharks.
Martha's Vineyard 3, Barnstable 2: Zak Potter (6-3, 6-4), Jacob Riis (who won by default (2-5, 5-7 at second singles), and Kyle Levy/Tommy Flynn (6-0, 6-0 at second doubles) were victorious for the Vineyarders, who remain undefeated at 8-0. Brennan Riley (6-3, 6-3 at third singles) and Alex Arabadzhiev/Connor O'Reilly (2-6, 6-4, 6-2 at first doubles) claimed the points for the Red Hawks (8-3).
Nauset 4, Sandwich 1: The Warriors improve to 7-1, thanks to wins from Rufus McCleery (6-4, 6-3 at first singles), Salvi Cacciola (6-2, 6-1 at third singles), Murphy McCleery/Will Murphy (6-0, 6-0 at first doubles), and Conner Pike/Tom Foley (6-0, 6-0 at second doubles). Pablo Gonzalez (6-2, 4-6, 10-2 at second singles) won for Sandwich (2-8).
Girls Tennis
Monomoy 4, Rising Tide 1: Christie Beckley, (6-0, 6-3 at second singles), Alyson Morris (6-3, 6-1 at third singles), Sarah Poskanzer/Hanadi Redzic (6-2, 6-2 at first doubles), and Cassidy Parker/Madison Mahfouz (7-5, 6-4 at second doubles) all won to help Monomoy improve to 9-3.
Nauset 3, Sandwich 2: Wins from Nicole Boyce (6-0, 6-0 at first singles), Anjali O’Brien (6-2, 6-1 at third singles), and Jill Ernstrom/Cristin Schadt (6-2, 6-0 at first doubles), were enough to give the Warriors (5-4), the win over the Blue Knights (2-10). Kallie Tompkins (6-4, 6-4 at second singles), and Tenley Rothera/Chloe Cahoon (7-6 (7-2), 4-6, 10-7 at second doubles), were victorious for Sandwich.
Boys Lacrosse
Fairhaven 14, Bourne 2: The Canalmen fall to 5-7.
Hull 8, Falmouth Academy 2: The Mariners drop to 1-7.
Girls Lacrosse
Fairhaven 16, Bourne 10: Bourne is 5-8 after the losss.
Monomoy 13, Dennis-Yarmouth 6: The Sharks are now 8-2 after beating the Dolphins (1-8).
Boys Volleyball
Barnstable 3, Madison Park 0: The Red Hawks (5-6) got the win via sweep.
