Last week: Coach Dennis Strey’s Red Wolves beat visiting Otsego 47-6. … Coach Scot Shaw’s Vikings recorded their fourth shutout of the season (and third straight) in 69-0 road rout of Plainwell.

Rankings: In Michigan AP Division 4 poll, Paw Paw is No. 3 and Niles is tied for eighth with Croswell-Lexington.

Series: Northridge leads 2-0 after 34-24 sectional semifinal victory Oct. 28, 2022.

Last week: Coach Chad Eppley’s Raiders dropped Northern Lakes Conference finale 24-10 to Warsaw. … Coach Mike Johnson’s Berries closed out regular season with 34-27 victory over Anderson.

Rankings: Northridge is ranked No. 3 in final Tribune Power Rankings, No. 8 in final Associated Press Class 4A media poll and No. 11 in final Indiana Football Coaches Association poll. … Logansport is not ranked.

Extra points: Quarterback Brayden Clark (1,034 yards, 7 touchdowns) and running back McClain Miller (513 yards, 6 touchdowns) pace the Raiders’ offensive attack. … Berries handed Johnson his 250th victory against Anderson as Chrisanthony Del Valle rushed for 133 yards and three scores and Cayden Walker added 118 yards and two TDs.

South Bend Riley (8-1) vs. Wawasee (1-8)

What: Class 4A-Sectional 18 quarterfinal game; winner will play either Northridge (7-2) or Logansport (4-5) Oct. 27.

When/Where: Friday, 7 p.m., Warrior Field, Wawasee.

Series: This is the first meeting.

Last week: Coach Darrick Lee’s Wildcats won the Northern Indiana Conference North-South Division title with 24-12 victory over visiting Jimtown. .. Coach Jon Reutebuch’s Warriors suffered their sixth straight setback in 41-22 loss at Mishawaka.

What: Class 4A-Sectional 17 quarterfinal game; winner will play either Gary West Side (6-3) or Kankakee Valley (4-5) Oct. 27.

When/Where: Friday, 8 p.m., Amzie Miller Field, New Carlisle

Series: Hobart leads 2-1 but New Prairie won sectional championship 49-28 on Nov. 4, 2022 during 13-2 run to Class 4A state runner-up finish to East Central.

Last week: Coach Craig Osika’s Brickies beat Highland 48-0 to end the regular season on a two-game winning streak. … Coach Casey McKim’s Cougars rebounded from 22-0 loss to Penn with 16-8 victory at Elkhart.

Rankings: Hobart is No. 14 in final IFCA poll. … New Prairie is ranked No. 5 in final Tribune Power Rankings, tied for No. 12 in final AP Class 4A media poll and No. 10 in final IFCA poll.

Series: NorthWood leads 8-5 after 52-24 sectional semifinal victory on Oct. 28, 2022.

Last week: Coach Nate Andrews’ Panthers ended regular season on a four-game winning streak with a 22-0 victory at Goshen. … Coach Ben Downey’s Saint Joseph squad ended regular season with 16-10 home loss to Mishawaka Marian.

Mishawaka Marian (5-4) vs. West Noble (9-0)

What: Class 3A-Sectional 26 quarterfinal game; winner will play either Knox (9-0) or Lakeland (6-3) Oct. 27.

When/Where: Friday, 7 p.m., Charger Field, Ligonier.

Series: Tied 1-1 after West Noble’s 26-14 sectional quarterfinal victory on Oct. 21, 2022. … Marian won 42-20 in sectional semifinal game on Nov. 1, 2019 during 12-2 season.

Last week: Coach Mike Davidson’s Knights closed out regular season with 16-10 victory over South Bend Saint Joseph, their third straight victory. … Coach Monte Mawhorter’s Chargers closed out undefeated regular season with a 48-7 victory over Prairie Heights.

Rankings: Marian is ranked No. 9 in final Tribune Power Rankings. … West Noble is No. 11 in final AP Class 3A media poll but not ranked in final IFCA coaches’ poll.

Extra points: Quarterback Bryce LaSane (1,267 yards, 7 touchdowns) and running back Brian Osman (857 yards, 9 touchdowns) key the Knights’ attack. … Marian’s defense will try to corral Chargers senior Drew Yates, who has completed nearly 75 percent of his passes for 980 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 656 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Andrean (3-6) vs. LaVille (8-1)

What: Class 2A-Sectional 33 quarterfinal game; winner will play either Lake Station (2-7) or Whiting (3-6) Oct. 27

When/Where: Friday, 7:30 p.m., Lancer Field, Lakeville.

Series: Andrean leads 2-0, having ended Lancers’ playoff runs last two seasons. … Fighting 59ers beat visiting LaVille 35-8 for regional title on way to 2021 state title and 12-3 record. … Last season, visiting Andrean won 28-6 in sectional semifinal on way to state runner-up finish.

Last week: Coach Chris Skinner’s Fighting 59ers fell 16-14 at Lowell, their third straight setback. … Coach Jeff Kaiser’s Lancers won their third straight game with a 52-0 Hoosier North victory over Culver.

Rankings: Andrean is not ranked. … LaVille is No. 7 in final Tribune Power Rankings, No. 5 in final AP Class 2A media poll and No. 4 in final IFCA coaches’ poll.
