Who is the Herald-Times athlete of the week for Sept. 19-24?
Congratulations to Week 5 winner, Bloomington South cross country runner Lily Myers, who pulled in 18,455 votes or 40.6% of the impressive 45,495 cast. She topped South linebacker Ralph Rogers (34.9%) in a close race.

Lilyanna Blais, Eastern Greene cross country
Started off her week with a fifth place finish in 21:11.4 at the Barr-Reeve Invitational on Tuesday and came back with a 19:26.0 for second place at the Shakamak Invitational on Saturday.

Alex Busch, South boys' tennis
Busch held down the No. 3 singles spot when the 16th ranked Panthers went to face No. 6 Center Grove and his 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 victory was the difference maker in a 3-2 upset win. Busch also had a 6-2, 6-0 win vs. No. 22 Loogootee and a 6-2, 6-0 win at 2 singles against Edgewood.
Rachel Campbell, North girls' soccer
Goalkeeper had 13 saves and kept Class 2A No. 4 Bishop Chatard scoreless until the very last minute in a heartbreaking 1-0 loss for the Cougars.
Cole Grupenhoff, North football
Junior receiver and kick returner had several big plays in the Cougars 49-7 romp over New Albany on Friday. He caught three passes for 74 yards, including one of 18 for a touchdown. He also had over 100 yards combined on two kickoff returns, including one to the New Albany 37 that set up a score with just seconds left in the opening half.

Zane Meyer, Edgewood boys' cross country
Running right beside teammate Caleb Webb on Tuesday, Meyer finished .77 behind him in seventh place in 17:34.90 to help the Mustangs win the Western Indiana Conference boys' meet for the first time since 2014. Followed that up on Saturday with a third straight seventh place finish (17:11.67) and No. 2 on the team again at the BNL Ted Fox Invitational.
Kenli Sullivan, North volleyball
Started off with a huge night against Eastern Greene with 12 kills in a three-set sweep. The sophomore then had 24 kills, 13 digs, five aces on Saturday in three three-setters at the Martinsville Invitational as the Cougars came in second with wins over Jasper and Martinsville and a loss to Indianapolis North Central.
