LSU and Tennessee were not going to stop for a downpour.

As a weather system swept across the eastern half of the country Saturday, numerous games were delayed because of storms. But not in Knoxville.

A line of storms arrived at Neyland Stadium just as the second half began. But since lightning wasn’t close enough to delay the game, it proceeded as scheduled despite the heavy rain. Look at this ridiculousness.

Oh, and a bank of lights went out at the stadium too.

The wind was so crazy the ball was even getting blown around too.

The heavy rain didn’t last very long, however. By the time the third quarter was halfway over the precipitation had dissipated considerably.
