Hays throws shutout in Lady Tigers' 13-0 romp over Lady Jackets

Apr. 11—RUSK — Carli Hays tossed a four hitter to send Troup to a 13-0 triumph over Elysian Fields in a District 16-4A game that was played at Rusk Lady Eagle Park Thursday night.

Hays gave up four hits, struck out nine and walked one.

Troup sent nine runners in to score in the bottom of the third inning to move ahead, 11-0.

Bailey Blanton (2-2, double, 2 RBI), Taylor Gillispie (2-4, double, 2 RBI), Sydnie Dickey (1-2, double, RBI and Shiloh Sluder (triple, 1 RBI) were the top hitters for Troup (17-7,7-2).

The game was official after four and a half innings due to the mercy rule.

The Lady Tigers will travel to Waskom for a 5:30 p.m. game Friday.

The Lady Jackets dropped to 5-22, 2-8 with the loss.
