Hall, Foster highlight All MVL softball honorees

The best in softball was recognized by the Muskingum Valley League on Thursday, after all teams completed their postseasons.

The teams were selected by the league's coaches.

All-stars: Sheridan, Blosser headline All-MVL Baseball selections

Sheridan junior Cora Hall was voted the MVL Big School Division Player of the Year, and she was co-Pitcher of the Year with John Glenn senior Sydney Marshall. John Glenn's Steve Cowgill was named Coach of the Year.

Hall, Marshall, Sheridan senior Avery Mueller and junior Payton Powell, John Glenn senior Alivia Boothe and sophomore Addi Babcock, Tri-Valley senior Kylan Brock and junior Paiton Murphy, River View senior Raelee McPeak and Philo senior Caitlin Rose made up the First Team selections.

Second Team featured Maysville senior Ashtyn Merlo, River View freshman Kylie Dobson, Sheridan senior Addison Grosse and sophomore Megan Ranck, Philo senior Megan Tom, junior Bri Wolfe and sophomore Kyleigh McGraw, John Glenn sophomore Estelle Matheney and Tri-Valley senior Caity Journey and sophomore Ally Peterson.

Honorable mention went to Alivia Reffitt and Ashlyn Davis of Tri-Valley, Ava Miller and Sarah Wayne from John Glenn, Olivia McPeek of Maysville, Hallie Wallace and Regan Foster from River View, Hayley Clifton and Hailey Mueller of Sheridan and Kassydi Harris from Philo.

West Muskingum senior Kate Foster earned the MVL Small School Player of the Year award, Morgan senior Malayni Clemens was named Pitcher of the Year and Morgan's Jeremy Keirns was tabbed Coach of the Year.

Clemens and Foster were joined on the Small School First Team by Morgan junior Blair Clawson, Meadowbrook sophomores Addy Sichina and Sommer Ginn, West Muskingum junior Addy Antonetz, Coshocton freshman Mallorie Stamper, New Lexington senior Abby Wilson and Crooksville senior Gracie Peck and junior Brynn Lundell.

Second Team selections included Crooksville senior Sonni Nelson, New Lexington sophomores Caroline Dupler and Jorja Burkhart, Coshocton junior Jaeli Tiedt, Meadowbrook junior Addy Wiggins and sophomore Jordyn Vargeson, Morgan sophomore Chloe Baker and West Muskingum senior Cadence Puckett, junior Lydiah Huey and sophomore Gabbi Hammer.

Honorable mention went to Kadie Bare of West Muskingum, Rylee Chamberlin and Mylin Driggs from Crooksville, Savannah Gambill and Jazlene Brown from Coshocton, Natalee Norman and Mckendell Boyer of Meadowbrook, Kylie Fink from New Lexington and Myka Augenstein of Morgan.
