Hailey Van Lith out today for LSU women's basketball vs. Louisiana

BATON ROUGE – No. 7 LSU women's basketball will be without its starting point guard Sunday afternoon against in-state foe Louisiana inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Senior Hailey Van Lith was seen not going to warmups and team officials told The Daily Advertiser that she will miss the game due to some lingering injuries she's battled with her ankle and wrist.

Junior Last-Tear Poa is starting for the Tigers (8-1) at guard against the Cajuns.

Van Lith has been playing well of late. She's averaging 12.2 points per game and has been growing in the point guard for the Tigers, a position she hadn’t played on the collegiate level at Louisville.

She makes shots at a 42.9% clip and has 13 steals on the 2023-24 season.
