Hailey Van Lith arrives on campus, completes Kim Mulkey's LSU women's basketball squad

What some are calling the LSU women's basketball "Super Team" is completed as the final piece of the squad has officially arrived on campus.

Graduate transfer point guard Hailey Van Lith has joined her new teammates at LSU as classes started Monday. Van Lith was the rated the top transfer this offseason and an eye-popping land for Kim Mulkey and her staff, which helped lead the program to its first NCAA championship in April.

LSU brought in the No. 2 transfer, sophomore forward Aneesah Morrow, this offseason as well and she reported to campus a few weeks ago.

The former Louisville star has spent most of the summer competing with USA Basketball 3x3 women's team, which won the FIBA World Cup 3x3 gold medal as well as the Nations League and a couple of other global competitions alongside Stanford star center Cameron Brink.

Van Lith fills a massive void for Mulkey and the Tigers after the graduation of point guard Alexis Morris. This past season, Van Lith helped guide the Cardinals to the Elite Eight, where it lost to Caitlin Clark and eventual national runner-up Iowa.

The Washington native averaged a career-high 19.7 points and 3.2 assists along with four rebounds per game.

Earlier this offseason, Van Lith went in-depth on her decision to transfer out of Louisville and why LSU ended up being her destination.

"It came down to my ability to be happy, and I had to put myself first," Van Lith told Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks in an interview released earlier this week. "I had done my part. I had sacrificed myself and given my all to that program.

"But at the end of the day, I just wasn't enjoying everyday life. It was a situation there where I chose that I deserve happiness."
