H.L. Bourgeois star Chris Coleman signs Letter of Intent to play college basketball

On Tuesday afternoon, H.L. Bourgeois basketball star Chris Coleman took next step in his career. The Braves senior officially became a college athlete when he signed his letter of intent to play for Bossier Parish Community College.

Coleman's signing ceremony took place in the school's library in front of family, friends, teammates, and coaches.

"I'm just so happy that I get to further my education and that I get to play basketball at the next level. I'm just grateful," Coleman said. "I was looking at their team, and I saw that they have a young team. I think I can help them and we can win."

Coleman capped his high school career with his third consecutive all-district nod. He averaged 18.8 points per game, led HLB to the second round of the LHSAA playoffs and was named MVP of the Luke Ford Jr. Bayou River All-Star Game this past season.
