MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Power forward Zach Randolph had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and reserve guard Jerryd Bayless scored all 17 of his points in the second half Monday as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Utah Jazz 104-94 at the FedExForum.
The Grizzlies (12-15) took a 77-71 lead into the fourth quarter as Bayless hit two 3-pointers to account for six of Memphis' last eight points in the quarter. He stayed hot at the start of the fourth, dropping in another 3-pointer, a floater in the lane and then another 3-pointer as Memphis went up 89-75 with 7:43 to play.
The Jazz (8-23) never got closer than 10 points after that.
Randolph also had a season-high seven assists.
Memphis, which averages making just 4.69 3-pointers per game, the second-worst rate in the NBA, sank 11 of 20 attempts (55 percent) against the Jazz.
Bayless shot 4-for-5 from 3-point range. Guard/forward Mike Miller was 3-for-3 behind the arc and scored 15 points. Forward Jon Leuer finished with 11 points, and center Kosta Koufos added 10 points.
Guard Trey Burke and forward Richard Jefferson led the Jazz in scoring with 18 points each. Guard Gordon Hayward just missed a triple-double, finishing with 16 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. He also had four blocks. Center Derrick Favors added 16 points for Utah, which finished its five-game road trip with a 2-3 record.
The first quarter featured eight lead changes, and Utah went up 21-18 with 2:42 left when Hayward knocked down a 3-pointer. Memphis closed out the quarter on a 9-0 run and led 27-21.
The Grizzlies led by as many as 12 in the second quarter, going up 41-29 with 6:48 left when forward Ed Davis made two free throws. Utah then outscored the Grizzlies 19-12, and Memphis took a 53-48 lead into the break.
Randolph had 12 first-half points to lead Memphis, while Burke scored 11 for Utah and Hayward added 10.
Memphis' reserves outscored the Jazz's bench 20-10 in the first half, 51-18 for the game.
NOTES: Memphis broke a five-game losing streak with a 95-87 road win over the New York Knicks on Saturday. The Grizzlies owned a 56-29 rebounding edge, the largest rebounding advantage by one NBA team over another this season. ... Grizzlies SF Tayshaun Prince (left knee soreness) missed his third consecutive game. Every Memphis starter missed time due to injury this season.
