The Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame will induct its Class of 2023 at its 41st induction banquet on Oct. 24 at Auletto’s Ballroom in Deptford.

The 12 new inductees are:

Robert Mannino will be inducted into the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 24

  • Robert Mannino. The Glassboro native was a successful girls’ soccer coach with 293 wins, was named Courier-Post Girls’ Soccer Coach of the Century in 1999, won a sectional title with Schalick in 2021 and was a high school athletic director.

  • Chris Sheppard. A long-time volleyball coach at Williamstown High School.

Debroah Slenkamp will be inducted into the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 24.

  • Debroah Slenkamp. A longtime and successful tennis coach at Pitman High School.

Katie Trotter will be inducted into the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 24.

  • Katie Trotter. A standout softball pitcher at Williamstown High School, Rowan College and Rowan University.

  • Kim Smith-Bey. A standout basketball and track athlete for Glassboro High School during the mid-1980s.

  • Meghan Nowak. A star basketball player who finished her career with 2,057 points for Gateway High School.

  • Ted Malinoski. A two sport star in basketball and baseball at Pitman High School, Malinoski played baseball at St. Joseph’s University.

  • Jennifer Scaffidi Grassel. The former Washington Township High School basketball standout is now an administrator in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association.

  • Derek Ward. A two-sport star in track and football at Kingsway Regional High School, Ward also competed in both sports at Rutgers University.

  • Tim Cammarota. A long-time South Jersey soccer coach with over 200 wins on his resume, Cammarota was also an athletic director at West Deptford High School.

  • Greg Sawyer. After a standout career on the mat at Delsea Regional High School and Rider University, Sawyer returned to his alma mater where he has lifted the Crusaders into one of the perennial powerhouses in the state.

  • Robert Moore. He guided Gateway High School softball to its only state championship in 1978 before moving on to coach the sport at the collegiate level.
