Girls swim sectional consolations and final Saturday

Feb. 2—ST. LEON — Members of 14 girls swim teams converged on East Central Thursday for the preliminary round of the IHSAA sectional. The top eight finishers in each event during the preliminary round advance to the final. The next eight advance to the consolation round. Both the consolation and final round will be held Saturday.

First place finishers in each event final advance to the IHSAA state finals Feb. 9-10.

Here is a run-down of each event with the first seed followed by local placements and times.
