Girls' lacrosse rankings: Here are the top teams in the Bucks County area

It will be fun to compare what the girls' lacrosse rankings look like now to what they'll be by season's end.

There will be plenty of changes as we go along, so don't be alarmed if your team isn't in our rankings now. There is a long way to go.

(Records through April1)

1. Germantown Academy (0-1)

The Patriots dropped their only game to Maryland power St. Mary's. Now they have to get ready for their brutal Inter-Academic League schedule.

2. Pennsbury (2-2)

The Falcons are out to win the Suburban One League National Conference title outright, which won't be an easy task.

3. Pennridge (3-2)

The Rams would also like to win the SOL National and are off to a solid start, including a win over Upper Moreland.

4. Upper Moreland (1-1)

Speaking of the Golden Bears, they want to get back to the PIAA Class 2A tournament like last year.

5. Central Bucks West (2-0)

The Bucks are another strong contender in the SOL National. We're starting to see a theme here.

6. Council Rock North (1-1)

Did we mention that the SOL National is going to be quite competitive? I think we have.

7. Abington (1-2)

The Ghosts will contend in the SOL American Conference.

8. North Penn (0-2)

It's been a slow start for North Penn, but there is a long, long way to go.

9. Archbishop Wood (2-0)

The Vikings have won their first two Philadelphia Catholic League games.

10. Bensalem (3-0)

What a great start for the Owls, who only won two games all of last season.

Others to watch: Central Bucks East, Council Rock South.
