Girls Basketball | Jenna Cassidy scores 23 points, Minerva rallies past Fairless

NAVARRE — Jenna Cassidy led Minerva with 23 points and the Lions rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat host Fairless, 46-41, in girls basketball action on Wednesday night.

The Lions (6-5) led 21-11 at halftime but the Falcons (6-5) outscored them 21-8 in the third period to lead 32-29 entering the final period.

Bella Murray added eight points and eight rebounds for Minerva.

Kam Kondrach paced Fairless with 13 points, while Grace Lyon added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Salem 49, Alliance 29

SALEM — Salem went on a 22-0 run spanning halftime and defeated Alliance in an Eastern Buckeye Conference girls basketball game on Wednesday.

The Quakers (10-1, 5-1) led 5-4 late in the first quarter, then held the Aviators (4-8, 0-6) scoreless in the second period. Salem led 25-4 at the intermission.

Dream Perry led Alliance with 11 points. Reese Davidson scored 10 points to pace Salem.
