Giants will wear Color Rush uniforms Week 14 against Cowboys
The New York Giants have announced when they will wear their Color Rush uniforms during the 2017 season. They will wear their Color Rush uniforms for their Week 14 home game against the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 10.

“After talking with ownership and (head coach Ben) McAdoo, it seemed to be let’s do Color Rush for a game the fans are going to be excited for and amped for,” equipment manager Joe Skiba said. “That’s definitely the Dallas home game. We wanted to wear them for a home game because last year we were on the road in Philadelphia. It’s a homage to the ‘80s and giving it a modern slant.”
The Giants’ Color Rush uniforms are white and feature the classic Giants wordmark on the helmet as opposed to the lower case “ny” logo.
The NFL’s Color Rush promotion is done in conjunction with Nike. It promotes color vs. color matchups with teams in a matchup-specific uniform. The uniforms are usually one solid color with alternating colored accents. Some teams have elected to wear white uniforms either by choice or out of necessity.
Color Rush uniforms do not count against teams in regards to their allotment of alternate uniforms.
Color Rush uniforms are usually featured on broadcasts of Thursday Night Football. The Giants’ only 2017 Thursday Night game is Week 12 at the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving night (Nov. 23). The NFL didn’t designate the Thanksgiving night game as a Color Rush game so the Giants were allowed to pick when they wanted to wear the uniforms.
