Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks slip by Grizzlies, 93-92

The Milwaukee Bucks shot 40-88 (45.5%) from the field and controlled the offensive glass with 16 rebounds, in a close 93-92 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Milwaukee (3-4) picked up the win after falling to the Detroit Pistons on Friday.

Giannis Antetokounmpo came off the bench and put up 18 points on 6-11 shooting from the field and 6-7 from the free throw line. Milwaukee also got solid performances from Brandon Knight with 14 points and six assists, and Ersan Ilyasova with 11 points and nine rebounds. On 7-14 shooting from the field and 7-7 from the free throw line, Zach Randolph scored 22 points for Memphis in the loss. He also tallied 14 rebounds. Courtney Lee contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.

In addition to 21.4% from 3-point range, the Grizzlies tallied an eFG% of just 37.2%. They are 2-1 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Bucks, conversely, are 3-1 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.

Coming up next, the Bucks square off with the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are 2-5 on the year. The Grizzlies meet the Los Angeles Lakers, currently 1-5 this season.
