Georgia football vs. Vanderbilt score, live updates for Bulldogs-Commodores

NASHVILLE — Georgia football has an early noon ET kickoff Saturday at Vanderbilt’s FirstBank Stadium.

The No. 1 Bulldogs (6-0) are 31½ point favorites for the first game of a CBS doubleheader.

The Commodores (2-5) are on a five-game losing streak and are the SEC East’s only team without a conference win.

Georgia is coming off its best game of the season, a 51-13 rout of Kentucky.

This is the second noon ET kick for Georgia, which has had five other kickoff times.

“It'll be 8 o'clock pregame meal eastern time, 7 o'clock their time,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “Steak and eggs, get ready to go play. We've done it before and we got do it again. We'll do some biorhythm prep the day before and try to get them up early on consecutive days and get them used to it. They're young and they can handle it."

Georgia has won the last two games against Vanderbilt 55-0 and 62-0 and four straight in Nashville since a 31-27 Commodore win in 2013 against a No. 15 Bulldog team.

“We believe if we have a better performance on our end,” Vanderbilt coach Clark Lea said, “then obviously there will be things and moments in the game that we’ll be able to hopefully seize and capture to make it a tight game late and find a way to win that battle.”

Georgia used 8 minutes and 30 seconds on a 19-play, 60-yard drive before getting a career-long 44-yard Peyton Woodring field goal. Georgia leads 27-7.

Georgia took advtantage of a Tykee Smith interception by marching down field to get a 4-yard Carson Beck to Dominic Lovett with 12 seconds to go in the first half. Georgia leads 24-7.

The Bulldogs went 55 yards in 4 plays, using just 25 seconds.

Georgia increases lead but loses tight end Brock Bowers to injury| 1:23 p.m.

Peyton Woodring's 31-yard field goal gave Georgia a 17-7 lead. It came after the Bulldogs suffered a big blow when Brock Bowers left the game with a lower leg injury. Georgia got the ball right back on Tykee Smith's fourth interception of the season with 37 seconds left in the half.

The Bulldogs went 77 yards in 7 plays, scoring on a 3-yard Kendall Milton touchdown run. Carson Beck is 9 of 10 for 99 yards. Georgia up 14-7 with 13:42 to go in the first half.

Georgia football ties the game after Sedrick Van Pran-Granger wacky play | 12:34 p.m.

Georgia has tied the game on a 1-yard Carson Beck touchdown run. The drive was kept alive when center Sedrick Van-Pran Granger picked up a fumbled exchange on third down and picked up six yeards. Game is 7-7 with 5:42 to go in the first quarter.

Carson Beck was sacked and fumbled in Georgia territory, but Vanderbilt was held.

Ken Seals completed his first four passes and burned Georgia on a 49-yard touchdown pass to London Humphreys over the middle. Vanderbilt leads 7-0 with 12:07 to go in the first half.

Former UGA Bulldog receiver Kearis Jackson on scene | 11:43 a.m.

The Tennessee Titans are in London for a Sunday game against the Baltimore Ravens. Former Georgia wideout Kearis Jackson, a member of the Titans, was on the field pregame here. The rookie is on the injured list for Tennessee.

Georgia football's Dan Jackson not spotted | 11:36 a.m.

Safety Dan Jackson, who started a game this season, was not spotted on the field pregame. Jackson is eighth on the team with 12 tackles and has an interception and a pass breakup.

Daniel Daniel-Sisavahn, who missed last week's game with an illness, is warming up.

Running back Roderick Robinson, sidelined by an ankle injury, isn't on the trip.

Georgia football's Xavier Truss wearing Devin Willock jersey | 11:25 a.m.

Xavier Truss, who is starting at right tackle, is wearing Devin Willock's No. 77 jersey instead of his regular No. 73. Georgia is having a player wear the No. 77 jersey each game to honor Willock who died along with recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy in a Jan. 15 crash.

Ladd McConkey warming up for Georgia Bulldogs | 10:40 a.m.

No setbacks this week for Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey who is set to appear in his third game this season. McConkey has battled a back injury this season that kept him out the first four games.

Vanderbilt's defense can use all the help it can, but it's without a couple of key pieces in its secondary. The Commodores will be missing safety De'Rickey Wright (ankle) and cornerback Martel Hight (hip), Clark Lea said, according to Aria Gerson of the Tennessean.
