Georgia football: Bulldogs add another 4-star commitment

The Georgia Bulldogs have had a successful month of July on the recruiting trail, landing two elite 2024 talents last week: five-star tight end Landen Thomas and four-star wide receiver Ny Carr.

On Sunday, the Dawgs added yet another 4-star commitment — this time in 2023 4-star linebacker Raylen Wilson.

Wilson, who decommitted from Michigan in June, committed to Georgia via his Twitter account. He chose UGA over Florida and the Wolverines.

“Recruiting 100% shut down. I’m a Dawg,” Wilson’s tweet read.

Out of Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, Wilson is rated as the No. 5 linebacker in the country, the No. 17 recruit in the state of Florida and the No. 72 recruit in the class of 2023, per 247Sports.

Wilson has a good frame at 6-foot-2 and weighs 215 pounds. The four-star prospect also runs track. Speed is coveted for modern linebackers in college football, and Georgia football places a big priority on it.

In fact, Wilson even returns punts for Lincoln High School. He ran a 10.91 second time in the 100 meters this spring. Wilson is expected to play in the 2023 Under Armour All-America Game.
