GC Baseball: Kerens defeats Loreno 10-3
Feb. 26—WACO — The Kerens Bobcats had an impressive performance in the Waco ISD Baseball Tournament and defeated Lorena 10-3 Friday to win three in a row.
Kannon Ritchie got the win on the mound, allowing just two earned runs over 5 innings and Andy Conklin pitched a perfect 1-2-3 sixth with a strikeout.
Kannon Ritchie drove in three runs in the romp and Conklin went 1-for-2, scored twice and drove in a run. Matt Rickard went 1-for-2, scored and drove in two runs.
JJ Hightower had an RBI, Krayton Ritchie scored and drove in a run and Lane Lynch went 1-for-3 as the Bobcats scored 10 runs on just three hits.
The Bobcats, whoc made a deep run in the playoffs a year ago,
