Volleyball
Emily Allen, Cherryville: Had 12 kills and six assists in a 3-0 win over Burns.
Taylor Digh, Cherryville: Had 10 digs,
Kate Mulvey, Cherryville: Finished with 16 assists.
Carson Reed, Cherryville: Had six kills and three blocks.
Lilly Coletta, Highland Tech: Had 10 digs in a 3-0 win over Thomas Jefferson.
Riley Decker, Highland Tech: Led the Rams with 14 digs.
Alise Mayers, Highland Tech: Had seven kills and 13 digs.
Isabelle Simmons, Highland Tech: Had a team-high 24 assists to go with seven digs.
Madison Thompson, Highland Tech: Had seven kills, a dig
London Brown, Kings Mountain: Had nine kills, two digs and six blocks in a 3-0 win over Stuart Cramer.
Myracle Davis, Kings Mountain: Had 18 kills, two digs and five blocks.
Camden Pasour, Kings Mountain: Had 31 assists, nine digs and five blocks.
Meile Songaila, Kings Mountain: Had nine kills and four digs.
Boys soccer
Chase Owens, Gaston Day: Scored the Spartans’ only goal in regulation in a 1-1 (3-2) win over Davidson Day in a penalty shootout.
Xavier Porter, Gaston Day: Saved five of seven shots in Thursday’s penalty shootout.
Quinn Campbell, Lincoln Charter: Scored a goal and assisted on another in a 7-3 win over St. Stephens.
Antoni Ceciliano, Lincoln Charter: Earned a hat trick and assisted on another goal.
Ethan Walker, Lincoln Charter: Scored two goals.
Jaydon Davis, Shelby: Scored a goal in a 3-2 win over Stuart Cramer.
Jose Lopez, Shelby: Scored two goals, including the game-winner with under a minute remaining.
Girls tennis
Ansley Johnson, Lincoln Charter: Won 7-5, 6-1 in No. 3 singles, in addition to an 8-4 win in No. 1 doubles against Pine Lake Prep. The Eagles wound up taking the match, 7-2.
Emma Kennedy, Lincoln Charter: Won 6-1, 6-0 in No. 2 singles, in addition to an 8-4 win in No. 1 doubles.
Kate Lesniak, Lincoln Charter: Won 6-3, 6-4 in No. 4 singles, in addition to an 8-6 win in No. 3 doubles.
Rowan Milligan, Lincoln Charter: Won 6-0, 6-1 in No. 6 singles, in addition to an 8-6 win in No. 3 doubles.
Wednesday, Aug. 30
Volleyball
Gwyn Neels, East Lincoln: Had 19 kills, two aces, three blocks and 11 digs in a 3-2 loss to St. Stephens.
Stella Neels, East Lincoln: Had 37 assists, nine digs, four kills and two aces.
Damaya Thornton, East Lincoln: Had 20 digs, two assists and a kill.
Kaela Bryson, Piedmont Community Charter: Finished with 19 aces in a 3-0 win over Sugar Creek.
Sarah Simonds, Piedmont Community Charter: Had five aces and two kills.
Madelyn Wyatt, Piedmont Community Charter: Had five kills.
Girls tennis
Madison Darnell, Highland Tech: Won in No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-0), No. 6 singles (8-5) and No. 1 doubles (8-2) with partner Katelin Vaher over West Lincoln.
Katelin Vaher, Highland Tech: Won 8-4 in No. 2 singles.
Jada Willis, West Lincoln: Won No. 4 singles (8-3) and in No. 2 doubles (8-4) against Highland Tech.
