Garth Evans set to become Minerva Local Schools' next athletic director
Garth Evans will become Minerva Local Schools' next athletic director, pending board approval at the Feb. 18 meeting.
Evans has served as Sandy Valley's athletic director since 2018. He also was athletic director for one year at Claymont.

“Garth spent his childhood on Minerva’s football field and basketball court alongside his father who was a coach and teacher for us," Minerva Superintendent Gary Chaddock said in a statement. "It was then that his passion for athletics rooted.
“It was clear in his interview that Garth is dedicated to the success of student athletes, coaches and the community which will be evident to our stakeholders by his visibility and engagement."
Evans will remain at Sandy Valley until this summer when his contract ends.
