UND 1, Western Michigan 0 — Louis Jamernik V 8 (Dylan James) 4:05. James forces a turnover from Western Michigan's Luke Grainger on the blue line. He sees a loose puck just out of reach, but dives and pokes it to Jamernik, who skates in alone on the goalie. Jamernik moves it to his backhand and scores for the second-straight night on Bronco goalie Cameron Rowe.

No scoring.

UND 2, Western Michigan 0 — Jackson Blake 19 (Owen McLaughlin, Abram Wiebe) 6:36. Blake gets the puck on the left wing with speed. He cruises around Western Michigan defenseman Cole Crusberg-Roseen, cuts across the top of the crease and scores his 19th goal of the season. With the goal, Blake ties the NCHC record for most conference points in a season (35, Brock Boeser and Bobby Brink).

UND 3, Western Michigan 0 — Owen McLaughlin 12 (Abram Wiebe) 14:20. Wiebe makes a big shot block on the defensive end and McLaughlin takes the other way on a breakaway. McLaughlin has heavy back pressure from Samuel Sjolund and Rowe attempts to make a poke-check. McLaughlin moves the puck away from the poke-check and flips it into an empty net.

If UND wins the game in regulation, the Penrose Cup will be presented. If UND loses in regulation, it will not. If it's an overtime game, there are several scenarios.

Read them here.

. . UND will be without Bennett Zmolek, who blocked five shots in the series opener. He sustained an undisclosed injury. . . Hunter Johannes gets the promotion back to his pre-injury spot on the wing of Cameron Berg and Riese Gaber. Jayden Perron goes to the fourth line. . . Western Michigan has just one change. Fourth-line winger Ethan Phillips is out due to injury. . . UND is 16-4-1 at home this season. . . Jackson Blake is one point shy of tying the NCHC point record in league games. It belongs to UND's Brock Boeser (2015-16) and Denver's Bobby Brink (2021-22).
