GameCenter final: Colorado College 3, UND 2, OT

Dec. 8—GRAND FORKS — Noah Laba scored 35 seconds into overtime to give Colorado College a 3-2 overtime victory, snapping a 15-game winless streak against UND. Max Burkholder also scored for the Tigers. Dylan James had a goal and an assist to lead the Fighting Hawks.

UND 1, Colorado College 0 — Dylan James 1 7:28. Colorado College forward Bret Link can't control a lob pass on a zone entry. James picks up the loose puck sitting at his defensive blue line and gets some speed. James skates through the neutral zone, catches Tiger defenseman Jack Millar a little flat-footed as he entered the zone and sniped one blocker side from the right circle.

Second period

UND 2, Colorado College 0 — Louis Jamernik V 4 (Dylan James, Garrett Pyke) 8:13. James continues his brilliant game by getting a puck along the wall and making a perfect backhand cross-ice pass to JAmernik in the right circle. Jamernik finished it off for his fourth goal of the season.

UND 2, Colorado College 1 — Noah Laba 7 (Jack Millar, Nicklas Andrews) 13:40. The Tigers are finally rewarded for some of their second-period pressure when Millar launches a shot from the right point that Laba tips past UND goalie Ludvig Persson. The goal snaps a scoreless streak of 118:48 for the Tigers.

UND 2, Colorado College 2 — Max Burkholder 3 (Chase Foley, Ryan Beck) 19:38 (pp). The Tigers end their run of 29-straight blanks on the power play with their favorite play. Foley, at the top of the zone, feeds it to Burkholder in the left circle. He hammers a one-timer past Ludvig Persson to tie it.

Overtime

Colorado College 3, UND 2 — Noah Laba 8 (Chase Foley) :35. UND gets possession to start overtime, but Jackson Blake loses it behind the net and the Tigers go the other way. Laba takes it up the left side, cuts to the net and flips it past Persson to end Colorado College's 15-game winless streak against UND.
