Gamble Montessori football coach Robert Rachel steps down, heads to Purcell Marian

Gamble Montessori head football coach Robert Rachel has stepped down after leading the Gators for eight years.

During his tenure, Gamble accrued a 32-40 record, including a 4-5 mark in 2023. In 2021, the Gators made their first-ever playoff appearance. They returned to the postseason in 2022 after winning their first Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference-Blue Division title.

Rachel will be on the sidelines next season as an assistant at Purcell Marian, which is coming off a 10-3 record that saw the Cavaliers advance to the Division V regional semifinal. Purcell Marian head coach Jeremy Pflug welcomed Rachel, writing, "Welcome to The Castle @RobertRachel15" on X, formerly known as Twitter.
