The season for basketball camps is winding down, but a couple remain before schools open again in August.
Below are basketball camps scheduled throughout the summer at Peoria-area colleges and high schools. If you would like your camp included, please send information to sports@pjstar.com.

Curley 'Boo' Johnson's Skills for Life Basketball Academy
Who: The former Peoria High and Harlem Globetrotters player hosts the camp for boys (9-14-years-old) - 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Girls (9-14-years-old) 2-6 p.m.
When: July 31-Aug. 4
Where: Dunlap High and Middle schools

2023 Booth Basketball Academy
Who: Former Manual players and brothers David (NBA executive) and Derrick Booth (ex-Manual coach) lead this three-day camp with two sessions each day: Ages 9-12 — 4-6 p.m. and ages 13-16 — 6:30-8:30 p.m.
When: July 25-27
Where: Peoria RiverPlex
Cost: Free, but limited to the first 60 campers in each session.

Coach Pop's Basketball Camps
Who: Bradley women's basketball coach Kate Popovec-Goss runs the camp. Elite Camp - Girls 8th-12th grade - 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
When: July 1

Washington Panthers Boys Basketball Camp
Who: The Washington boys coach, his assistants and players run the camp for incoming 3rd to 9th graders.
When: June 19-21. 3rd-5th grade, 8-10:30 a.m. 6th-9th grade, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Danny Grieves MTHS Redbird Redbird Basketball Camp
Who: The Metamora boys coach and his assistants run the camp for incoming 4th to 12th graders
When: June 19-22. 4th-7th grade, 9 a.m. to noon; 8th to 12th grade, 1-4 p.m.

Alec Peters Basketball Camp
Who: The former Washington, Valparaiso and NBA player hosts the camp. Boys and girls - Incoming 3rd-5th graders - 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Boys and girls - Incoming 6th-8th graders - 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Who: Bradley men's basketball coach Brian Wardle runs the camp for K-8th, boys and girls
