FS1 broadcasters won't be in stadium for Arizona State-Fresno State football game

The Arizona State football game against Fresno State on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. MST will be broadcast on FS1, just like the Sept. 9 game against Oklahoma State.

For the Oklahoma State game, the broadcast team was working remotely. There was no one in the booth or on the sidelines from the Fox network.

That prompts the question: Will there be a broadcast team in Mountain America Stadium on Saturday?

The answer is "no".

Alex Faust is on the play-by-play call for the game. Petros Papadakis is the analyst. That same team is also working Oregon State's 12:30 p.m. kickoff against San Diego State in Corvallis, Oregon.

Arizona State confirmed on Friday that no one will be in the broadcast booth for the game. There also won't be a sideline reporter.

What does it mean when a game is remote?

In short, those providing commentary for the game, aren't at the game. Rather, they are watching the game — much like the fan at home — on a TV or monitor. The drawback is that the announcers are only privy to the what is captured on a camera.
