FOOTBALL

Fond du Lac 31, Kimberly 21

FOND DU LAC - The Cardinals held on to a 21-7 halftime lead to upset the No. 2 ranked Kimberly Papermakers.

Stephen Schreiter passed for a touchdown and ran for another to lead Fondy to the victory. Tanner Dalske also scored twice for the Cardinals.

Seth Miron threw for two touchdown passes, one to Jaxson Garbisch and the other to Gavin Tyson. Blake Barry also ran in a touchdown for the Papermakers.

Oshkosh North 35, Appleton East 12

APPLETON - Hunter Carlson totaled four touchdowns for Oshkosh North to lead the Spartans at Pickett Field.

Carlson scored on runs of 27 and 4 yards and also had a 30-yard touchdown pass to Drake Moxon and a 9-yard toss to DayShawn Henry. Henry also scored on a 50-yard run.

Appleton North 19, Oshkosh West 0

OSHKOSH - Caden Popp was a one-man scoring show for the Lightning.

The senior receiver/kicker booted four field goals (25, 36, 41 and 41 yards) and also caught a 54-yard touchdown pass in leading the Lightning past the Wildcats.

The win improves North to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the Fox Valley Association. The Lightning needs one more conference win to automatically qualify for the playoffs.

OMRO - Blake Schraufnagel rushed for four touchdowns as the Cardinals pulled away in the second half.

Schraufnagel finished with 288 yards on 24 carries, while Damien Hauglie carried nine times for 101 yards and a score.

Cole Henke led the Foxes with 83 yards rushing on 12 carries and added a touchdown pass to Damion Blohm.

Mayville outgained Omro 564-189 in total yards, including 470 yards rushing.

Kewaskum 24, Berlin 20

BERLIN - Ryan Cook's 1-yard touchdown run with 34 seconds remaining gave Kewaskum the win in dramatic fashion.

Kewaskum trailed the entire game and was down 14-0 after the first quarter. The win puts Kewaskum in a two-way tie atop the East Central with Berlin.

Wyatt Hamersma had a 75-yard touchdown run and Devin Dereth added a 2-yard score for Berlin in the first quarter. Cole Buttke also had a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for Berlin (5-2, 4-1 ECC).

Dillan Steger scored on a 67-yard touchdown run for Kewaskum (6-1, 4-1). Cook added a 38-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
