Four-star WR Marquez Dortch flips from Ole Miss to Mississippi State

George County wide receiver Marquez Dortch's recruitment wasn't open for long after decommitting from Ole Miss on Sunday.

Dortch flipped his commitment to Mississippi State on Monday and became the highest-rated recruit in Mike Leach's upcoming recruiting class.

Dortch was the first 2022 commitment for Rebels coach Lane Kiffin in January. The four-star recruit was the highest-ranked offensive prospect for Ole Miss.

"After a lot of thought and discussion I have decided that Starkville is home," Dortch wrote on Twitter. "I want to thank God for allowing me to play the sport I love the most and I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. Now for the next 3-4 years I will be wearing maroon and white."

The senior had 32 receptions for 660 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games this season. Dortch also had 207 yards and a touchdown on five kickoff returns.

The Bulldogs have 17 known commits in the 2022 recruiting class. Mississippi State is No. 11 in the SEC and No. 31 nationally.
