Four-star running back Jamarion Miller commits to Texas
The Longhorns have been in the market for a second running back to compliment Jaydon Blue and their already star-filled class of 2022.
It looks like they’ve found their guy.
Four-star running back Jamarion Miller announced his commitment to Texas via Twitter on Monday. Miller took an official visit to Austin on June 25 and the trip seemingly went great as two 247Sports crystal ball predictions were entered in favor of Texas shortly after Miller’s visit concluded.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound running back is as electric as they come. Miller hails out of Tyler Legacy High School (Tyler, TX) and was a hot commodity in the college football world. He holds roughly 27 offers from major Power Five programs such as USC, Florida, Texas A&M and LSU among others.
He has had quite the decorated high school career, as he earned Texas District 10-6A Utility Player of the Year honors as a junior, Texas District 11-6A first-team selection at running back, second-team selection at cornerback as a sophomore and Texas District 11-6A Offensive Newcomer of the Year as a freshman. In 2020, he rushed for 1,631 yards on 166 carries with 20 rushing touchdowns. In the air, he recorded 28 receptions for 464 yards and eight touchdowns.
Miller also excels in track, where he recorded a very impressive 10.71 100-meter dash as a junior. He is rated a top-120 player in the nation for the 2022 cycle according to 247Sports and is the No. 23 overall player in the state of Texas.
