Four-star Cameron Miller talks Rutgers football, recent visit (and upcoming Big Ten visits)

Rutgers football continues to do well with Cameron Miller following his recent visit to campus. Miller is one of New Jersey’s top recruits in this current cycle.

Last week, Miller was at Rutgers for an unofficial visit and saw the men’s basketball team and their overtime comeback win against Nebraska. He was one of several recruits at the game who got some time at the Hale Center with the coaching staff.

A four-star athlete, On3 ranks him as the sixth-best recruit in New Jersey in the 2025 class. He is On3’s No. 165 recruit in the nation.

Miller is a 5-foot-10 defensive back from Winslow Township (Atco, New Jersey).

The trip to Rutgers, he said, was beneficial and positive in his relationship with the Scarlet Knights.

“Definitely got to see how they operate a little bit more,” Miller told Rutgers Wire.

“I’ve seen the development within the guys – you know and things like that I got to see actually a lot.”

Miller will be at either Penn State or Michigan this week. The first weekend of February he is scheduled to be at Kentucky.

A timetable to cut down his current offer list may not be on his schedule. Instead, Miller could be comfortable making a decision in the not-too-distant future.

A top five, or something like that, is a path he may not choose to pursue he said.

“When it’s time to decide, I’ll decide,” Miller said.

“I’m getting pretty close but it might carry on until the official visits.”

When asked about the program showing him the most love, he said “Definitely Rutgers” followed by Michigan.

“The love that comes from Rutgers is always great. Like I told you, you know, every single time I go up there it’s always a good time,” Miller said.

“They show me a good time (and) I learn something. It’s about football – is always about business. So you know, I love that.”

This was the first winning season for Rutgers since 2014 and their first bowl eligibility since that same year. They defeated Miami in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl in what was a rather strong performance from the Big Ten program.

Playing the second-toughest schedule in the nation, Rutgers finished 7-6 (3-5 Big Ten). Miller saw progress this season.

“I see the growth…I see the development of the program and you know, it’s nice seeing it, especially coming from a lot of losing seasons and things like that,” Miller said.

“It’s definitely a plus to see them getting better and see them building.”
