"I am really proud of how well we wrestled Tuesday night," said Lions coach Adam Kinyon.

"Only losing one match in the dual and one JV match was phenomenal. My guys came out ready to go and never let up. We were dominant in the top position, ending almost every match with a pin, and giving up very few escapes. This kind of dominance will be key in achieving our postseason goals. We will use this momentum to carry us into the weekend, when we travel to Green Bay for Green Bay Preble's scramble tournament on Saturday."

Tuesday night was Lung Cancer Awareness night, as the mother of one of Mayville's wrestlers was diagnosed with lung cancer last week. White is the color for lung cancer, so fans, the teams, and coaches all dressed up to show support.

"(NFDL/SMS) wrestlers, coaches, and fans participated fully, showing their support for the family, and really showing that wrestling brings people together, even if those people are on opposite sides of the mat," Kinyon said.

"North Fond du Lac/St. Mary's Springs also presented the family with a check consisting of donations collected by the wrestlers going around to classrooms during the school day Tuesday, and we at Lomira are all humbled by their actions and very grateful to have such awesome people in our conference and in our sport! We cannot thank them enough for their help to the family in this difficult time!"
