FormerUConnmen's basketball coach Jim Calhoun will be presenter at Naismith Hall of Fame Inductions

Jul. 13—The induction will be held at Symphony Hall in Springfield, Mass.

Calhoun led the Huskies to seven Big East Tournament Championships, four Final Fours and three NCAA national titles. Including his head coaching stops at Northeastern and the University of Saint Joseph, Calhoun compiled 920 career victories, ranking him sixth on the current NCAA all-divisions win list before his retirement in 2021.

He was inducted to the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2005 and the National Collegiate Basketball HOF in 2022.

Calipari coach at UMass from 1988 to 1996, so he also has New England coaching roots. Calipari was inducted in 2015.

Hixon, a 1975 Amherst graduate, coached at his alma mater for 42 years. compiling a record of 826-293. He won two Division III NCAA titles, reached the NCAA Tournament 20 times and had seven Final Four appearances.

He is the first Hall of Fame inductee to work their entire career in Division III.
