Former UNC running back Kamarro Edmonds transfers to ECU

The UNC football program saw their fair share of departures to the transfer portal after a disappointing 2021 season. Losing players did open up some opportunities for some players and that was especially true at the running back position.

One player that opted to enter the portal was running back Kamarro Edmonds.

The former four-star running back out of Havelock, North Carolina pledged his commitment to UNC in 2020 as part of the 2021 class. He spent just the one season at UNC before entering the portal. And now he has a new home.

Edmonds officially committed to ECU on Thursday, taking the next step in his college career.

In his one year at UNC, Edmonds opted to use a redshirt season and then saw action in the Spring game this year. But shortly after that, he made the decision to enter the portal and find a new opportunity.

Edmonds now joins a program that features 1,000-yard rusher, Keaton Mitchell as well as Rahjai Harris.
