Former Steelers Ryan Clark says T.J. Watt has a chance to be greatest Steeler of all time

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had some of the best players at their respective positions throughout the franchise’s history. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is absolutely loaded with former Steelers and when it comes the Mount Rushmore, narrowing it down is a challenge.

But for former Steeler Ryan Clark, he thinks when it is all said and done, current Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt has a shot to not only be on that Mount Rushmore but he has a shot to be considered the greatest Steeler of all time.

“I’m gonna say this as being a Pittsburgh Steeler, he is one of the guys that is right now going to be talked about as the greatest Steeler of all time,” Clark said on ESPN.

You have to always thank Clark for bringing the hot takes when it comes to his former team. Greatest of all time? That’s a tough call for a franchise with guys like Joe Greene, Mel Blount, Troy Polamalu, Rod Woodson, Jack Lambert and Ben Roethlisberger among others in the mix.

Having said that, I don’t think it is much of a reach to say even now, that Watt is the greatest pass rusher in Steelers franchise history. This is included with the caveat that Kevin Greene only spent three of his 15 Hall of Fame seasons with Pittsburgh so he doesn’t count.
