Former Steeler says T.J. Watt would have to sign off on signing Taylor Lewan

Former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan has made it clear the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of his top choices to play, even before the Titans released him. And now, with Lewan on the open market, he can sign wherever he wants. We have already lined out our concerns with adding Lewan but former Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats noted one more thing in a recent YouTube video we wanted to share.

Moats indicated that for the Steelers to sign Lewan, outside linebacker T.J. Watt would need to sign off on it. Why? Because, as he admitted, Lewan spat in Watt’s face during a game. For most players, this is the line you simply don’t cross and goes beyond “in the heat of battle” activities.

According to Moats, Watt is too important and means too much to this franchise to simply sign a guy who did something like this without Watt being ok with sharing a locker room with him.
