Former Sixers F Matisse Thybulle knocks down 4 triples in Blazers debut

The Philadelphia 76ers made a deadline deal on Thursday when they sent longtime forward Matisse Thybulle to the Portland Trail Blazers in a deal that netted them Jalen McDaniels from the Charlotte Hornets in a four-team deal.

McDaniels has been terrific for Philadelphia thus far as he has found his role on both ends of the floor. He had eight points on 3-for-4 shooting, he knocked down a triple, and he also had five rebounds and three assists in Monday’s win over the Houston Rockets. It’s safe to say the Sixers are happy with their new addition so far.

As for Thybulle, he made his debut for the Trail Blazers on Monday and he started it off with a bang. He knocked down four triples to score 14 points with six rebounds and he had three blocks in a start as Portland knocked off the Los Angeles Lakers 127-115. It looks like it has been a helpful trade for everybody involved in the deal.

Defensively, Thybulle’s rejections were emphatic. This is a block that Sixers fans are familiar with seeing from him.

Thybulle spent his first 3.5 seasons with the Sixers and he will now look to continue his career with a fresh start with the Blazers. The fact that he was starting on Monday makes it look like he will have a big role in Portland.
