Former LSU star Arden Key lands multi-year deal with Titans after solid season in Jacksonville

Former Tigers edge rusher Arden Key heading to Tennessee.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Key is joining the Titans on a three-year deal worth $13 million dollars. He spent the 2022 season as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

A third-round pick in 2018 for the Raiders, he struggled in the first few years of his career but had a breakout season with the 49ers in 2021, totaling a career-high 6.5 sacks. He followed that up with 4.5 sacks this season as a rotational lineman and arguably the team’s best edge defender outside of Josh Allen.

That was enough to get a payday.

A three-year standout while at LSU, Key started nine games as a true freshman and earned First-Team All-SEC honors as a sophomore and junior in 2016 and 2017. He struggled with injuries in his final season, which hurt his draft stock, but it seems he’s now caught on in the league after all.
