Former LSU safety commits to JUCO program

Former LSU safety Michael Daugherty has committed to Coffeyville Community College, a JUCO powerhouse in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Daugherty was a member of the Tigers’ 2023 signing class from Grayson (Loganville, Ga.), and the former three-star recruit early enrolled in Baton Rouge last January. However, he was only on campus for a brief period of time and ultimately chose to withdraw from LSU in February prior to the start of spring practice as he ultimately sat out the season.

Now, Daugherty will look to restart his career at the Power Five level after one season at the JUCO level with Coffeyville C.C., which has placed 48 players into the NFL.

Daugherty was one of the first commits in a 2023 signing class that ultimately ranked sixth nationally.
