Former Eagles linebacker Nate Gerry to sign with Commanders

A familiar name is returning to the NFC East, as Ian Rapoport reports that former Eagles linebacker Nate Gerry is signing with the Washington Commanders.

A former strong-safety out of Nebraska, Gerry finished his Eagles career with 46 games played, 22 starts with 163 career tackles.

Gerry signed with the 49ers during the 2020 NFL offseason and was waived the following July. In Washington, the linebacker will be reunited with former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.
