Former Clemson guard announces where he’ll play next season

Former Clemson guard Al-Amir Dawes announced on Instagram Wednesday that he is transferring to play for Seton Hall and their new head coach Shaheen Holloway.

Dawes, the Newark native, is heading back to New Jersey to finish his collegiate career.

The guard started 66 games for Brad Brownell and the Tigers, with this past season being his most productive yet where he was second on the team in scoring, averaging a career-high 11.3 points per game. He shot a career-high 84.7% from the free-throw line and led the team shooting 39.7% from three.

Guards Al-Amir Dawes and Nick Honor are officially gone, with Honor landing in the SEC at Missouri. They’ve brought in one guard in former College of Charleston and Boston College transfer Brevin Galloway.
