Former Alabama WR Cam Sims signs with Las Vegas Raiders

Former Alabama wide receiver Cam Sims agreed to a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed at this time.

Sims spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Washington Commanders, where he primarily served as a backup wide receiver during that time period.

In his time with the Commanders, Sims hauled in 57 receptions for 804 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

As he heads to Las Vegas, one has to wonder what his role might look like in Josh McDaniels’ offense. The Raiders cut ties with pass catchers,  Mack Hollins and Darren Waller early this offseason. With a new quarterback as well, it will be interesting to see how Sims is utilized in the offense.

Sims will join former Alabama players O.J. Howard, Josh Jacobs, and Anthony Averett in Las Vegas.
