Team USA went 6-0 this week, securing wins over Chile, Venzuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

McCleney, a 2016 UA graduate, appeared in all six games and had five starts. She hit .500, with five walks and runs, and five RBIs. She finished 2-3 with two runs and an RBI batting leadoff in the gold medal game against Puerto Rico on Saturday.

Fouts, in her second year competing for Team USA and a 2023 UA graduate, appeared in two games, pitching four shutout innings with seven strikeouts.

Alabama softball made history when Fouts joined McCleney on the roster, becoming just one of four schools with at least two current or former players represented on Team USA's roster. McCleney has been with the team since 2014, and won a silver medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Fouts previously helped the team to a gold medal at the 2023 World Games in Birmingham, Ala.
