Former Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal drafted No. 7 overall by the New York Giants

Former Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal has been drafted with the No. 7 pick by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.

Neal was recently viewed as a strong candidate to be selected first overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars, they instead chose to select Aidan Hutchinson. The former Crimson Tide starter on the line was the second offensive lineman selected in the draft, just after Ikem Ekwonu formerly of NC State.

He stands at 6-7, 337 lbs. One of the strongest linemen in this class and he is now a member of the New York Giants.

In his final season at Alabama, Neal was named a consensus All-American player.
