Florida softball live score updates in Game 2 of 2024 NCAA Gainesville Super Regional vs Baylor

Florida softball will look to punch its ticket to Oklahoma City when it hosts Baylor on Saturday in Game 2 of the 2024 NCAA Gainesville Regional (11 a.m., TV TBD).

The No. 4 national seed Florida Gators (50-12) have won 12 straight and are a win away from their 12th Women's College World Series trip in school history.

Florida won game one of the Super Regional series 4-2 on Friday behind some timely hitting and freshman pitcher Keagan Rothrock, who allowed just two runs over seven innings to pick up her 29th win of the season.

Florida softball coach Tim Walton noted that 11 players on his roster have never reached or been this close to a Women's College World Series appearance.

"The message is to be really just confident, be committed to what we talked about before this weekend, stay focused and do a good job of being a good team," Walton said. "I think that's the key. We had some players who went 0-fer, we had some players who had two hits, or had 2 RBIs and we've just got to a really good job of being committed to each other."
