Florida High School Hoops Show: Donnie Wilkie, the VP & architect behind the City of Palms

The City of Palms is one of the biggest high school basketball tournaments in the country. Every year it brings in the top talent and teams in the sport.

On its 50-year anniversary its bringing the deepest field its ever hosted this week to the Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Florida. Cooper Flagg and the nation's top ranked high school team, Montverde Academy, will headline the event with more than 30 ranked players taking the floor.

We sat down with Donnie Wilkie, the, architect of the modern day City of Palms, to discuss the tournament's inception, the top performances, and the top teams to watch. Enjoy learning about the tournament from the man who's seen every game for the last 38 years.
