Florida football gets boost in 247Sports recruiting rankings after recent commitment

Billy Napier and Co. made waves in the college football recruiting world on Tuesday when Florida landed four-star running back Kahnen Daniels out of West Point (Mississippi).

The Gators started the day ranked No. 14 in the 247Sports composite’s recruiting rankings and received a bump up to No. 11 after the addition of the young backfield talent, hopping over the Oregon Ducks, South Carolina Gamecocks and North Carolina Tar Heels. The Penn State Nittany Lions held onto the tenth spot with a tenuous lead over Florida.

However, a couple of days later on Thursday, things shuffled up with the Orange and Blue sitting at No. 12 while the Wake Forest Demon Deacons claim the No. 11 spot. The Gators currently have six commits — one five-star, four four-stars and a three-star — good for 138.2 points.

Florida football plays in its annual Orange and Blue intrasquad game on Thursday, April 13, with kickoff time slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
