Florida basketball has won the SEC Tournament four times in school history, with the last tournament title coming in 2014.

The sixth-seed Florida Gators (21-10) will begin the quest of ending that 10-year drought when they face 11-seed Georgia on Thursday night at 9:30 p.m.

Florida would need to win four games in four days to accomplish the feat. something it has never done before. UF's prior four SEC Tournament wins all came with the Gators receiving the double bye and starting on Friday.

"There's a clear understanding of what we're playing for," Florida coach Todd Golden said. "We're trying to win a championship and it will take four really good days to do that."

Florida has won 10 straight against Georgia dating back to 2019 and four straight against current UGA coach Mike White, who left Florida to take over the Bulldogs at the end of the 2021-22 season. Georgia advanced with a 64-59 win over Missouri on Wednesday night, closing the game with a 12-0 run.

The winner of the Florida-Georgia game will advance to face No. 3 seed Alabama on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. ET
