Ferris State F Michael Peterson transferring to Michigan State basketball
It has been discovered that Tom Izzo has added a second transfer to the roster in the form of Michael Peterson. He joins Jason Whitens, who transferred from Western Michigan to MSU, both being preferred walk-ons.
Peterson will be coming to Michigan State from Ferris State, where he spent the past four years. Peterson was a member of the Bulldogs’ 2018 National Championship team.
A 6’6″ forward, Peterson is a native of Rockford, MI, where he attended Rockford High School before going to Ferris State.

Peterson started in all 18 games this past season averaging 9.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 35% from 3-point range.
