Ferreira earns second MSC Player of the Week of season
Mar. 27—Cumberland freshman Vitor Ferreira was named the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week announced by league officials Monday.
Ferreira went 2-0 in both singles action and doubles play this week helping the Phoenix to two Mid-South Conference wins over Freed-Hardeman.
In singles play, Ferreira played in the No. 2 slot. He beat Freed-Hardeman's Pablo Poleo Gonzalez 6-2, 7-5. He followed that with a win over Nicholas Andrade from Campbellsville 6-3, 6-3.
